Quality, local produce prepared by the expert hand of our chef Santi Valls Xicoira is the identifying feature of the cuisine at Hotel Gastronòmic Els Caçadors. Our dishes are based on traditional Catalan cuisine, with preparations that pay the utmost respect to the characteristics of ingredients that do not need anything added, and that have been recognised with the Bib Gourmand in the 2018 Michelin Guide.
It was during this period, when the chef Juan Mari Arzak was also in the kitchen, that he saw the opportunity to discover cuisine from different cultures. Therefore, he started his adventure at the Relais Chateaux Manoir Hovey in Canada where he learnt in depth about cooking local produce and respecting all its flavours, and moved on to Asia where he experimented with new culinary techniques that he later applied to our menu.
We are committed to fresh, local, seasonal produce
For our preparations, we use local products such as fish from the Costa Brava, prawns from Palamós, rice from Pals or Girona-reared beef. On our menu, you will find sea and mountain proposals, delicious adaptations of traditional Catalan dishes or those that remind us of the best of each season, prepared using fresh, local, seasonal products.
On our wine list, you will find references from the Empordà Denomination of Origin, although we also include wines from the prestigious DO Priorat and DO Penedès, among others.
