The GR11 is worthy of a mention, the long-distance path that crosses the Pyrenees from the Mediterranean to the Atlantic and that goes through Maçanet on its 42nd stage. This route is perfect for hikers, whether doing just one stage or a route covering several days.

Figueres, the Dalí Theatre-Museum
A visit to the Dalí Theatre-Museum in Figueres, just over 20 km from the hotel, where you will find the work of the recognised Empordà surrealist painter, Salvador Dalí, is essential.
However, Figueres is also a town with a dynamic, lively shopping centre and an intense cultural life, which holds trade fairs and events throughout the year and contains other interesting museums such as the Toy Museum, making it worthwhile programming a full day's excursion.
The Exile Museum and Route
The area in which the hotel is located, very close to the French border, was one of the scenes for the exile of the Republicans, of which you will find diverse testimonies, in the form of routes, museums and monuments.
Enotourism
The Empordà DO concentrates a large number of its wine cellars and vines in the Albera region, near the hotel.
You can visit the most emblematic wine cellars, stroll through the vineyards, see the bodegas and taste wines which, in recent years, have become recognised on the market.
